Pest Identification Knowledgebase is a module for acquiring knowledge about pests such as pest name, pest class, economic damage, and symptoms observed on different parts of the plant. A primary goal of this module is to facilitate the participation of domain experts all over the region in building a knowledgebase about pests. A secondary goal of this module is to enhance the search for information about pests by storing the pest knowledge in machine readable formats rather than in a paper format. The collected knowledge base can be used for a variety of applications i.e. expert systems.
